Consisting of senior members of the Board of Directors this committee provides updates and insights for the effective management of the organization.
Government Affairs CommitteeResponsible for researching issues of importance to the business community and then making recommendations to the Board of Directors on how to respond. It may be to endorse or oppose or merely to provide education for the membership to make its own decisions. They also will hold foums on important issues and political foums on candidates running for public office. The committee may also make recommendations to support certain candidates they feel will be friendly to the needs of local business.

Education Committee
Meets the 2nd Thursday of the month, 9 am at the Chamber office. Responsible for booking speakers for the monthly FORGE Luncheon Series held at Marylhurst University on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. They also coordinate and will take over in 2011 the FORGE Marketging Summit, a 1/2 day event held in January of each year.
Responsible for member recruitment and retention strategies, member drives and promotions.

Meets the 1st Tuesday of the month, noon at the Chamber office.
Responsible for creating and implementing the marketing plan, working with other committees to market their needs, surveying the membership, addressing graphic design, website and other technology needs.Chair: Zeb Yaklich

Meets the first Thursday of the month, 9:00 am at the Chamber office.
Responsible for running the Friday morning Networking events, the semi-monthly Business After Hours, Ribbon-Cuttings, monthly membership retention calls and as cheerleaders for the Chamber at other events in the community.
Chair: Lanette Bernards
Meets the first half of the calendar year to update the Tourism Action Plan and then send it on to City Council for adoption. They also administer a pool of funds made available each year by the Tourism & Cultural Affairs Dept. of Clackamas County for use in local tourism-related projects. In addition they work with local businesses to develop ways to market local business and Lake Oswego beyond its borders.

This committee is made up of downtown business owners who meet to create promotions for the downtown businesses and to advocate through the Chamber for their needs at City Hall.
This committee will guide staff as they work closely with City Hall to implement the City's Economic Development strategy with other community stakeholders.
